About Compossure

Not a product. A perspective.

The Founder

Peter Medina is a San Diego-based technologist, entrepreneur, and perpetual student of the human condition.

An alumnus of UC San Diego, Peter's academic foundation reads like an interdisciplinary puzzle: Psychology, Neuroscience, Economics, and History—subjects he affectionately calls "unemployable."

But 30 years after leaving university, he discovered that these fields were, in fact, the exact toolkit required to build something like Compossure.

"It has always bothered me that we're constantly judged, yet we rarely give ourselves the right to reflect on who we want to be. The most important thing about ourselves is not our individuality—it's our identity."

— Peter Medina

The Spark

Peter is no stranger to ideas that are ahead of their time.

He reinvented the linear actuator, naming it Synchronic. He spent 20 years developing and marketing it—eventually licensing it to the automotive industry—only to realize it likely won't achieve widespread adoption until long after he's gone.

That experience taught him a valuable lesson: Timing is everything, but conviction is more.

The Mission

Compossure was socialized with founders and entrepreneurs across San Diego's vibrant tech community before being brought to life. It is the distillation of decades of observation, introspection, and a stubborn belief that technology should serve self-understanding, not just engagement.
